His Legacy
Over his 70 years of dedicated service Shri Goverdhandas Malpani ji not only left his mark on our industry, but also contributed significantly to education and public service.
He moved from Jabalpur to Bombay in the early 1950's and since then has worked closely with Shri R.D Birla ji and Shri B.K Birla ji. He was instrumental in setting up and managing Century Rayon, Century Cement and Century Enka among other group companies. He was known to be a financial wizard and an outstanding leader who acted decisively when the situation demanded.
Shri Goverdhandas Malpani ji was deeply involved in the setup of schools like B K Birla school & college, Century Rayon School and temples like the Vithoba temple, Kalyan and Ganesh Temple, Talegaon.
It was under his guidance and mentorship, that Primepack Containers was setup in the early 1980's.
Shri Goverdhandas Malpani ji epitomized simplicity & empathy and had an incredible sense of commitment towards his duty. These are his values and teachings we hope to carry forward with us.
